Running Rigging

Halyards are constructed in our rigging shop. We use a variety of high tech fibers using standard construction methods and some special methods that we have developed in-house. Halyards are designed according to your sailing style. As a result, we use many high tech fibers for both racers and cruisers. The types of fibers we use include Zylon (PBO), Vectran, Technora, Dyneema, Spectra, Dyneema and Polyester. Our riggers are racers and they have many years of experience.

The types of splices we can make for you include; eye, core to core, single braid, parallel core, cross over splice, end to end, rope to wire and rope to chain. The ends of all halyards are either whipped or have a Flemish (reeving) eye. We can recommend halyards for your boat or customize them to your specifications. We use only the finest line made by proven manufacturers: Yale Cordage, New England Ropes and Samson.

Sheets, Guys, and Control Lines - We specify the materials, size and length based on your boat and sailing style.

Anchor and Docklines - We custom splice anchor rodes and docklines. We carry New England Ropes double braid and 3-strand nylon. In addition, we recommend Yale Cordage Nylon Brait because of its exceptional strength, performance characteristics, and it does not twist, knot or hockle.
